“I’d love direct service to Abbotsford” …”If we had non-stop flights to Yellowknife, my grandparents would visit every summer.”…..”Why can’t we get to Cancun from Prince George without stopping in Vancouver?” “Why isn’t there a Tim Horton’s at YXS?” These are just some of the comments brought to the Prince George Airport Authority on a regular basis.
With recent successes such as WestJet and Central Mountain Air offering non-stop service to Calgary, Pacific Coastal Airlines setting up shop in Prince George serving the Victoria market and CMA adding flights to Vancouver and Fort Nelson — what does it take to get new air service in a community? What is YXS up to? And how did they manage to accommodate an additional 15,000 people coming to Prince George for the 2015 Canada Winter Games? Join Lindsay for our next speaker series luncheon.

Lindsay Cotter Biography
Born and raised in Kitimat, Lindsay is no stranger to Northern BC. After attending the British Columbia Institute of Technology where she received a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, Lindsay returned to her roots and started her career in a news room in Terrace. After nearly four years reporting and anchoring the nightly news for Northern BC residents, Lindsay moved to Prince George where she worked as a Promotions Director for Vista Radio and a Customer Service Representative for Central Mountain Air. It was at YXS where Lindsay got her first taste of the aviation industry. After three years running a news room in Prince George, Lindsay was still intrigued with the aviation sector. In 2011, Lindsay merged her passions and became the Marketing, Communications, Community Relations and Air Service Development Manager for the Prince George Airport Authority and hasn’t looked back since.
Heavily involved in her community, Lindsay spends a lot of her free time giving back to Prince George. She sits on the Volunteer PG Board of Directors, is the Social Media Coordinator for Festival of Trees and is helping PG’s Relay for Life social media efforts.
When not at work, Lindsay can be found restoring furniture, baking and spending time with her family.
