Northern Lights’ Annual General Meeting will be on June 22 starting at 3:00 p.m.

We will have things start off with a special guest speaker, Chris Obst. Chris will talk on the subject of leading others with inspiration, authenticity, and courage, without burning yourself out!

Each month, the Northern Lights CPRS chapter holds a professional development session over a lunch hour, either to hear from experts in the field or just to toss ideas back and forth.

Our next session will be March 15, at noon. It will be an open discussion.

Our monthly Lunch and Learns are held on the third Wednesday of each month.

On December 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., CPRS Northern Light members are welcome join via Zoom as we welcome Jennifer Siddon as a guest speaker who will talk to us about crisis communications, with some colourful examples from her work.

Northern Lights members will have received an invitation to this event in their e-mails.

Here’s a short bio of her and her work:

Jennifer has made a career out of running towards proverbial fires.  She’s held leadership roles in Corporate Communications for notable Metro Vancouver brands like SkyTrain, Coast Mountain Bus Company, and Transit Police. She’s led Communications and Engagement for high profile major projects including Woodfibre LNG in Squamish, B.C., Cedar LNG in Kitimat, B.C., and the Ontario Line South in Toronto, Ontario.  Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (Vancouver) Senior Leaders Network.  She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a diploma in Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and certificate in Communications in a Crisis from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
